Senior Planning Engineer – Rail & Civils – P6 – Permanent – Surrey – Salary up to £53,000 + package.
My client is a leading contractor with a turnover of circa £500 million. They work on projects across all sectors with a strong focus on infrastructure.
This is 80% tender/office and 20% site based position. This role would be to operate as part of a 5 man team on projects up to Clapham and out to West Sussex. You would operate within this leading contractor’s infrastructure group and would be required to assist with the mentoring and management of junior/assistant planners. The tool currently in use on this framework is Primavera P6.7.
On offer with this position will be a competitive salary of up to £53,000, company car or car allowance, family BUPA, pension, guaranteed bonus, life assurance, sponsored education and professional fees. Coupled with a good package this organisation has a good name for progressing individuals internally, a high workload and low staff turnover.
Candidate requirements:
- Relevant degree or qualification in engineering or construction management etc
- Minimum of 5 years direct planning experience within a similar role for a contractor
- Must have worked on rail projects from a civils/construction perspective
- A strong site background (possibly moved from project management or site management into planning)
- An understanding of the tender planning process
- Strong skills using Primavera P6 and MSP
- Will be well spoken, well presented and highly career motivated
- Full UK driving licence is essential due to the location of this office
