Senior Planning Engineer – Rail & Civils – P6 – Permanent – London – Salary up to £58,000 + package.
My client is a world renowned, leading contractor with a turnover of circa €5 billion. They work on projects across all sectors with a strong focus on infrastructure.
This is a site based position to work initially as part of a 5 year rail framework. This role would be to lead as the key planner on an average of 3 sites in London at any one period of time. You would operate within this leading contractor’s infrastructure group and would be required to assist with the mentoring and management of junior/assistant planners. The tool currently in use on this framework is Primavera P6.7.
On offer with this position will be a competitive salary of up to £58,000, company car or car allowance, family BUPA, pension, guaranteed bonus, life assurance, sponsored education and professional fees. Coupled with a good package my contact within this contractor is very focussed on progressing and promoting people within his team. Although a senior figure within this business he works closely to develop his employees and has a very low staff turnover rate within his team.
Candidate requirements:
- Relevant degree or qualification in engineering or construction management etc
- Minimum of 5 years direct planning experience within a similar role for a contractor
- Must have worked on rail projects from a civils/construction perspective
- A strong site background (possibly moved from project management or site management into planning)
- An understanding of the tender planning process
- Strong skills using Primavera P6 and MSP
- Will be well spoken, well presented and highly career motivated
- MUST BE ELIGIBLE TO LIVE AND WORK IN THE UK AND A RESIDENT DUE TO ROLE URGENCY
