The UK's leading rail company is looking for a Project Planner to work within the Key Output 2 on Thameslink based in Central London on a 6 month contract starting in october.
You will be delivery focused as you will be supporting and providing solutions for the individual Project Managers, working on projects that are part of a highly complex programme of work with tight deadlines. Your role will be to support the project team on part of the re-development of stairions and its associated structures.
You will be an experienced Project Planner able to develop the Work Breakdown Structure for the project, develop the plan for the project, including the full cost loading and identify and add to the risk register any planning issues that arise during the development and execution of the plan.
You should be able to identify and update progress, performance and any variances from the authorised baseline. You should be able to summarise project outcomes by understanding and communicating the forecasts for key events and identifying critical path issues to members of your project team, in particular, understanding the reasons for variances, highlighting the impact of issues at or near the critical path and providing recommendations for corrective actions.
You will have a good knowledge of the Primavera P3e Project Management tool or similar. You should have a good knowledge of Project Control Processes, including Earned Value Reporting.
For this role you will need to have extensive experience in working with P3e and experience in management, planning or delivery of major construction and engineering projects. A working knowledge of investment programme and project controls processes and systems and able to manage data in a proficient and competent manner.
You will need to be motivated and confident and able to communicate with people at all levels Enthusiastic with excellent attention to detail and have the ambition to progress within the organisation
