We are working with an International Consultant on a major Infrastructure project currently in it’s infancy. 

We now have a number of opportunities for Project Controls Experts to initially work in an evolving Client Management Team in Central London, transitioning to site in Saudi Arabia within the next year with the start of activity on site. 

The Project Control Experts will be required to deliver Clients’ commercial and schedule objectives within the integrated (cost & time) program/project controls solution.

The Project Controls Experts will be required to travel internationally for short periods, and at the appropriate time transition to site.

Responsibilities

Initially compile the Clients’ Master Schedule.

Manage the alignment of time and cost in the plan.

Deliver timely, accurate and sensitive project controls information that facilitates a clear understanding of the performance of the project in relation to planned performance targets on behalf of the Client. .

Identify exceptions and variances to planned performance.

Facilitate appropriate management intervention in order to maintain planned performance, reduce and/or mitigate performance degradation.

Contribute to the forecasting of the project’s Anticipated Final Costs (based on an understanding of the final integrated – time, cost and scope – position).

Support all reporting requirements emanating from Central Functions.

Foster the evolution of a project controls culture across the Client Management team, as well as the nominated Designer, that support attainment of the schedule’s performance

Promote, through word and action, a single, integrated team culture that values openness, integrity and transparency.

Foster appropriate and consistent application of best-practice project control techniques and practices across the sub-projects and suppliers.

Facilitate effective working practices and relationships with the commercial, cost, planning, production teams, which support the success of the integrated controls function.

Act as a principal point of contact to Centralised Project Controls.

Understand how individual project plans (cost & time) relate to the broader program context.

Ensure own team’s compliance to the Project Controls Solution.

Act as primarily link for core process compliance to 1st Tier Suppliers’ commercial, cost, planning and controls staff

Skills / Experience Required

Experience as Senior Planning Engineer and/or Senior Project Controls Engineer.

Degree educated in a relevant subject area mandatory.

Preferably this experience would have been gained on major capital projects, i.e. total value between £200m and £2Bn.

In depth understanding and experience of Earned Value techniques.

Strong understanding of risk management principles and techniques.

Preferably experience of using a disciplined project controls solution.

Understanding of change management principles and techniques, and a thorough understanding and practical working knowledge of utilising Primavera P6.

It is imperative that all candidates are eligible to work in the EU.
