Planning Engineer - Birmingham

Planning Engineer is required by a leading main contractor based in Birmingham. My client is seeking a Planning Engineer to strengthen their planning capabilities due to an increase in workloads. The successful candidate will work alongside the team’s Senior Planning Engineers and be responsible for the full lifecycle of projects ranging in value of between £10k and £10M. They will be tasked with picking up jobs at design stage and taking them through to site.

Responsibilities

  •  Develop and manage all relevant programmes
  • Track progress, incorporate changes and forecast delivery dates and expenditure
  • Manage planning meetings with the Client and other key stakeholders
  • Prepare periodic reports, statistics, and answers to enquiries concerning the programmes
  • Ensure high standards of programming are carried out to meet client and contract requirements

Candidates will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience to be considered for this opportunity:

·         Minimum 3 years planning experience.

·         Good knowledge of Primavera P6 planning software.

·         Previous experience of S Curves

·         Previous design experience would be advantageous but not essential.

On offer is a basic salary of up to £40,000 (dependent upon experience) plus a benefits package which comprises of car or car allowance, pension, healthcare etc.
