Due to a recent project win, my client are tasked with the design and build of the systems package for the Kelana Jaya Project, a 17km extension of the existing passenger transit line. They are seeking a Project Controls / Planning Manager for Rail Systems.
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE PROJECT CONTROLS / PLANNING MANAGER
A degree qualification is essential, Chartership is desirable.
Experience of Project Controls / Planning on the design and build of Rail Systems for passenger lines is essential.
Significant experience of Rail projects worldwide is essential, in particular, planning knowledge of Rail Systems packages, such as Power Scada telecoms and track. Candidates without Rail sector experience cannot be considered.
P3 or P6 is essential with significant understanding of Project Timelines for systems projects.
Rail New build experience is essential, candidates cannot be considered without this.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE PROJECT CONTROLS / PLANNING MANAGER
As the Project Controls Manager / Planning Manager Rail, you will, of course be responsible for the overall timeline and planning of the project. This role is not for the feint hearted, so experience of new build of Rail on a large scale is essential. You will be managing a team of planners, ensuring all aspects of the project are scheduled and running to time and budget.
SALARY AND BENEFITS FOR THE PROJECT CONTROLS / PLANNING MANAGER
Salary and Rate are negotiable dependant upon the candidate. Candidates should expect a basic salary of Circa £85,000 plus all accommodation costs, transport and flights. Family Status schooling and other benefits can be provided, should the successful candidate require.
