We urgently require an experienced Reporting Manager who will take responsibility for the collation of project performance data, the conversion of this data to high quality management information (including variance analysis and recovery action planning) and the preparation of periodic performance reports for dissemination to the Programme Director / Client Organisation and to the delivery teams to support of informed decision making at all levels.
Support the development of a robust project controls capability within the principle supply chain organisation and that of their sub-contractors.
Responsibilities
Review plans and schedules on a regular basis to identify status, highlighting deviations, impacts and mitigation opportunities.
Undertake schedule risk analysis on a frequent basis. Provide advice on impact of change or issue, and integrate approved changes into Schedule updates.
Monitor resources, productivity and measure physical progress and achievement of schedule and critical / key business and project milestones.
Provide guidance and undertake earned value analysis (SPI) to trend performance, predict future outcomes and give early warnings to Project Managers on potential schedule impacts including early completions and/or delays.
Work with Risk Managers and project teams to identify and reduce/mitigate risk to agreed plans, ensuring that potential conflicts are understood and making sound proposals to mitigate each risk.
Work with the Change Manager to assess / reduce / mitigate impact of change on Project Schedule.
Facilitate the integration and consolidation of plans supports the MPR process and meets published deadlines.
Facilitate schedule planning workshops and provide presentations, coaching and facilitation in the use of Artemis and Primavera software.
Collect, manage and maintain information / data records/ documents that supports the reporting of cost and schedule performance against Project baselines.
Provide accurate and timely Project data to meet the Client’s Integrated Baseline Review (IBR) requirements.
Support the Client Project Director and Project Managers to understand data provided and impact of decision-making in relation to planned performance targets.
Review, validate and report progress and performance against agreed
scope/schedule/cost/risk specific KPIs.
Achieve compliance with the Client’s Project Execution Requirements (PERs) and project governance procedures.
Create and Maintain the reporting WBS structure within the Artemis control system.
Risk
Monitor controls and escalate critical items for Senior Management action including persistently overdue action responses.
A full understanding of the Risk Process to enable the alignment of Earned Value information with that produced from the Risk Management Process.
Project Controls
Support / advise on the alignment of cost and schedule data in the Client’s Primavera P6 and Artemis planning tools to achieve consistency and accuracy of reporting.
Provide Earned Value Management (EVM) across the Project, using EVA tools and methodologies to develop track and interpret earned value metrics, variance analysis, trends and forecasting.
Proactively support Project Managers to ‘clear’ the Client’s governance gateways.
Assisting the Cost Performance Manager and Schedule Performance Manager in preparing control account plans and providing any control account guidance.
Essential:
A high degree of expertise in the collation and analysis of earned value based project performance data and in facilitating variance analysis and recovery action planning in major construction project environments.
Engineering based degree or equivalent, working towards a recognised project controls qualification (NVQ level 3), in-depth experience of performance data capture, variance analysis and recovery action planning.
Basic salary offered will be in the region of £45,000 with a flexible benefits package.
For contract, £300 - £350 per day
