A leading UK based rail company is seeking to employ a Lead Planner to join their Programme Controls department based in Central London.
The Role
The Lead Planner will be responsible for leading and inspiring a group of planning professionals within the project team. You will work on some on the UK’s flagship rail programmes adding your planning expertise to each project.
Responsibilities
The Lead Planner will be responsible for assuring quality and consistency is maintained for all planning and associated reports as well as ensuring planning support is provided to project teams on various programmes. Accompanied with these tasks, you will also summarise project outcomes by forecasting key milestones and critical path issues to team members and advising on the impacts to the programmes.
Candidate Requirements
In order to be considered for this role all applicants will need to demonstrate and possess the following:
Experience of working within a senior planning position within a rail environment
Previous experience of leading planning professionals
Excellent knowledge of Primavera P3e software
Strong knowledge of programme and project controls processes and systems
Strong team player, as well as self motivation to work in isolation
