A well-known engineering contractor has just created this new opportunity for a Planner or Senior Planner to join them in the North West of England.  You’ll get to work straight away on a major rail project which will change the lives of millions.  Working as part of a planning team, you’ll be responsible for producing, updating and reporting on production schedules, to help ensure the works are completed on time and on budget.  You’ll engage with a range of project stakeholders internally and externally, making sure up-to-date and accurate information is obtained and entered into the programme.  It’s an interesting, diverse role and you’ll have an important impact on the project’s success.  Plus you’ll have a high-profile project name and a well-known employer to add to your CV. 

To be considered, you must meet the following criteria:

- demonstrable experience as a Project Planner in the UK, in one of the following sectors: rail/light rail, roads & highways or utilities;

- experience of working on the contractor-side;

- strong ‘hands-on’, delivery-phased planning experience on site-based projects;

- proven ability to use Primavera P3 or P5 or P6;

- excellent interpersonal skills – assertiveness, ability to elicit information, verbal and written communication.
