Resource Movement Arrows Grayed Out

Member for

Dear Mr. Alexandre Faulx-B & Mr. Santosh Bhat,

It worked - "The Resource Movement Blue Arrows" have appeared - Image Attached.

I had actually accidentially turned on the Resource Group & Sort by Primary Role. Therefore the Tri-State Toggle was alternating only between the first 2 states and not showing the third state i.e. 3 Lines -  Indent arrows - Hierarchical Structure.

I did not know that this Column Header is "A Tri-State Toggle".

Thanks A Lot To Both Of You,

With The Very Best Regards.

Vikas,

The Column header for Resource ID is a Tri-State toggle. It can be clicked three times, once for sorting Ascending Alphanumerically, Again for Descending Alphanumerically, and thirdly for Hierarchically based on the Resource Structure.

Make sure you click this three times to go through each option and you should see the indent arrows appear when it is displaying the hierarchical structure.

Dear Alexandre Faulx-B,

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:7656:]]

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:7657:]]

I have pasted 2 Screen Shots of my my Resource ID Column Header.

If I click on the small triangle as shown in the upper image it gives the options as shown in the image &

if I click the small triangle as shown in the below image then P6 just Sorts the Resource ID's columns.

But there is no option where the small triangle changes to 3 lines.

Thanks & Regards.

Vikas,

Look at the Resource ID colum header in the Resource Workspace:

you will see a small symbol on the right side of the header: click on the symbol until you see 3 small lines instead of a triangle; then you will be able to move the resources by using the 4 blue arrow buttons of the tool bar on the right side of the screen

this has nothing to do with User rights, and a stand-alone P6 running with SQLlite database has no access to user rights and profile

Dear Mr. Santosh Bhat,

The filter is "ALREADY SET TO DISPLAY ALL RESOURCES".

I watched 2 YouTube Videos where the Presentor is also having these arrows grayed out in the video - So I think the Standalone Version seems to have these arrows grayed out - Maybe - I am not sure.

Thanks & Regards.

not so sure of that

Zoltan, SQLite databases don't have any user or security profiles - so those options wont be on the menu.

Its likely becuase the resource view is filtered. Select to display ALL RESOURCES and the arrows will appear.
