FYI I resolved this yesterday with the help of Elecosoft Support. In the Options under View I had Pounds Sterling selected - this has a currencey exchange rate of 0.62 assigned to it. I should have just selected Pounds as highlighted below as this has an exchance rate of 1 assigned to it.
Think I would have been looking for a while to work that one out.
This is a mystery to me! Cost Centres I set up in projects always default to £1... Send the above text and photo to support@elecosoft.com and the more clever technical folks can look into it for you.

Interesting. I guess also changing the exchange rate for the currency you had selected back to £1 = £1 would also have fixed it...
