late response but under print preview hit the 'page setup' icon and see if the 'bars' option has a check next to it or is blank. if it is blank that would be the problem

under print preview hit the 'age setup' icon - does the 'Bars' box have a check mark or is it blank? if it is blank then click it and hit 'ok' see if that works to bring the bars back
