Check your columns then click on the column head. You'll see an arrow down/up indicating that that particular column is being sorted. Usually the colomns on the WBS node is according to number incremental.
I should probably clarify. It's my projects that won't show up in the same order when I shuffle them in the WBS view. I'm assuming the best way is to use a numbering system in the Project ID to get them in the correct order.

Check View -> Group and sort by:
Uncheck "Sort bands alphabetically" if checked. This might help.
