I use the pervasive ODBC drivers everyday. They take a little setting up, but its welll worth doing. I regularly update project spreadsheets/databases wth real time dates from my programmes. It means that all parties at all levels are working on the right tasks at the right time. It also enables me to keep the programme at a summary level whilst not losing sight of the detail. Bear with it. Youll never look back.

There is an article on my web site, but I have not tried with XP. There is also a lot of more detailed info on the Primavera web site at primavera.com.

I did test Btrieve 5.0 driver under Win XP and it works well without any particular problem.
Anyhow, speed of direct linking to the records especially for the projects with more than 40,000 records is not very fast but fine.

I found a good way for this. Please go to the data direct web-site. WWW.datadirect.com
This has an ODBC driver and after installing it on your PC you can link directly to P3 tables using Datadirect Btrieve 5.0 *.dta.
I have checked that and works fine.
