Thank you for your response. I did try the solution you presented but i have to go to the address bar toenter the changes to the "Actual" start and finnish times.
Is there an another setting available where we can get the drop down calendar the same way as in Primavera P6, along with a entry box to enter the time.
Or is this the only way that I will be able to Plan and Track/Update the activities in hours.

I have 2003 not 2007, but I doubt it's much different:
Go to tools > Options > view. Select a date fromat that includes hours
While you are in options, also check you are happy with the relevant settings in the edit, calendar and schedule tabs.

Try entering hours - for example enter 5h in duration column for 5 hours. MSP reads h for hours.
