mpx loose materials and may have problems with the calendars but links are usually kept (only one between two activities). But mpx created by P3 is not the same as created by earlier versions of MS Project.
If you will send me mpx I will try Spider to convert it to MS Project xml. Spider has special option for importing from P3 mpx.

I must bother, it is part of my learning and part of my job.
There are many opinions on how to plan and what software to use, and each client will have its own opinion. I can’t control what software will the client request, but I can be ready for his request. I can’t control the integrity of the schedule when I arrive a new project, but I can be confident of my planning skills. I know the transfer from one software to another won’t be clean. But I must reduce the spots in order to clean them fast. That’s why I ask if someone has made it before, if not, I will must find a way by myself.

I did; and it worked; more or less... I mean that much depends on the complexity of the project scheduled in P3:
did you use scheduling constraints that exist in P3 and not in MSP, did you use more than one constraint, ...
Before doing it on a real world project, you would like to do it on a trial and error project
If the P3 to MPX converting machine does not give good results, you would export your P3 project to Excel using RA Excel files, then import the Excel sheets into MSP.

Hi Carlos
The best way I know to convert P3 to MSP is:
1. Use Powerproject 10 inbuilt coverter to take P3 to Powerproject - make no changes.
2. Save the Powerproject file as MPX
3. Open it in MSP.
You can download a trial version from Asta to make the conversion.

The P3 to MPX tool exported the activities but missed many (About 95%) of the links.
Im now trying the excel approach, thanks for pointing out the constraints, I was forgetting them.
What are RA excel files?
