I believe the best way is to use Adobe PDF files. You might buy Adobe Acrobat it is kind of expensive but is the most efficient. To the point you can get a reduction factor of about 40 in your pictures this is the only software I know that can do the magic without any visible loss in quality, so amazing I do not understand why it is not documented nor advertised.



Here you instead of printing to a physical printer you send your document to a virtual printer that will generate the PDF file. You do that just by selecting the Adobe PDF printer in your printers option. Anything your software can print you can convert into a PDF file.



There are a few for free like Primo PDF but cannot handle printing multiple worksheets in an Excel workbook. I don’t like their Nitro Professional and uninstall does not work well leaving traces in other applications.

Adobe Reader is free, will let you read PDF but will not let you create PDF files. Almost everyone has it so any PDF file can be seen by anyone.



The other software I use is SnagIt a screen capture utility that can capture your screen and can capture videos on your screen, is a very good application.



Then I post my files in Rapidhsare, a file hosting service that can provide you for free 200 MB of storage.

Izarc is another free utility you should have as it compresses multiple files into a single zip file.

I guess displaying pictures helps to understand easily {P3 Programme}

This is what happens when you set progress to a date beyond a SS link with a lead lag.



All criticality is lost.



Something can be restored if you apply FF links to the affected tasks.

Critical path is the path showing the lowest float. This will always be zero if no constraints are applied to individual activities nor to the project must finish date. If constraints or a must finish date is applied elsewhere it can be a positive value and even negative number, will be the lowest of all positive or negative values.



In order to see the most critical path you have two options, ether to release the must finish date by deleting the date or to set your software to show critical activities as those with total float equal to the lowest total float shown in your schedule.



The option to show critical path on open ends will show you more than a single path, this will depend on your needs but I usually set it to show all open ends as critical.



As a reference, Primavera SureTrak sets the overall must finish date under File/Project Overview/Must finish by. To set critical path to other value than the default, less than zero, in SureTrak you get to the option through Tools/Schedule/Critical activities have total float less than or equal to.



I still believe Shahul was right in his first posting. Because I do not have P3 installed it will be easier for Shahul to show you the way to the screens where you can verify and edit the fields as per your needs.

@Asadullah ,try Mr.Raviraj’s message hope it would solve your doubts

Its because u hav open ended activities.



provide predecessor & successor to all activities.



Instead of pressing F9, go to tools --> Schedule. Check all three boxes of Constraints, OPEN ENDS and activities with out-of-sequence progress and then click on schedule NOW button.



U will get ur scheduling report. Only the start activity cannot have predecessor and the last activity cannot have successor. Rest all activities shud hav relationships.



This shud solve ur problem

2.your total float value in tools-options-critical activities

3.Try this in your filter Longest path EQ Yes
