however, the solution was just a tilt!! i moved the subtasks to outer level and then back to place, and the pivot gave the correct wbs structure this time..



So, be careful when you have many activities.. you may have to tilt your program

What if you use Save as CSV or even as MS Excel Workbook instead of a MS Excel Pivot Table throug your visual reports wizards. By doing so maybe you will be in better control of your Pivot Tables than if using a Pivot Table Wizard from the start of data transfer.



Never had such a schedule but understand MS Excel is RAM hungry. Save as CVS should be the less RAM demanding route. Follow the link for an article on the limits of Pivot Tables.

If you cannot overcome the limits in any way then save as CVS and use of a Database software as MS Access/ Lotus Approach could be an option.



Primavera SureTrak have a Pivot Table Wizard but it is very slow and wonder if can handle the 10,000 activities, SureTrak limit.
