Hello boys,

P6 is not an upgrade of P3, it is a completely differnet piece of software; yes, is is easier to create subprojects with P6 than with P3, but that does not mean P3 cannot create and manage master and sub-project.

Just look at the online help, you will agree that the exercise is not so difficult.

I also found that P6 is much easier for us to make sub-project and WBS as well.

Alexandre,

In P3 it will be very difficult to prepare a sub project. If it would been P6 i would solved Ur problem.

John,

once the group and the projects are created, you will have to open either the group or one of the sub-projects.

you say the activities do not display, wcich project did you open? do you have ANY filter activated?

Have a look at the APEX sample project group.

hi,

I am not sure that any topics in this forum mention about this or not, but still show you an idea for that:

You create a master project first, then create sub projects later in the same group name.

To do that, Mount to File/ New, and tick to "Add this new project to a project group", choose the Master schedule and remember to type the sub-project name.

Hope this helpful.
