Reinstall Excel 2003. you can retain both excel 2003 and 2007 on the same OS. Use 2003 for export-import and 2007 for the rest. I find MS Excel 2007 much superior to its predecessors. Alternatively, consider using Open Office (freeware) for dbf/wk1 formats.

Another problem is that excel 2007 is not allowing to save the files as wk1 or dbf. So that exporting/importing with excel 2007 seems impossible. Do have any idea for this?

Hello all,
as a matter of fact, one should not use MS Office 2007, except if MSO is the only application software on the computer;
MSO 2007 is denying any working possibility to any other apps on the pc
MSO 2007 is 110% proprietary, it is not even possible to save files under an older MS file format!
ergo, do not use MSO 2007
