Anoon, you are right with that. It will function the same.
Albert, I think I dont know of such way in P3. I hope others do and would tell us.
In order for me to make distinction between the target and the early bar, with both bearing the critical color on them,... I will just reduce the size of the target bar.. say from 5 to 2. This serves me best though...

Thank you Gerry for your suggestion its possible for all none critical activity. but i just want to modify only the color of critical activity from red to any color without affecting early bar schedule.becouse any color i have chosen on critical the current schedule still the same. P3 v3.1 its my software version.
in addition to what Gerry had said, i remember there is an option to "display criticality on - you can choose between your baseline schedule and current schedule".
Go to FORMAT, BARS, and on the DEFINE BARS pop-up, hi-light the TARGET BAR. Clear the check mark on the column CRITICAL. This will now show the color you have selected for the target bar.
To modify the color of the target bar, when are still on the DEFINE BARS pop-up, hi-light TARGET BAR and click the MODIFY button. In the MODIFY BAR DEFINITION pop-up, click on the bar color and select the color you like.
Cheers,
Gerry

Hi Albert,
Do not show critical colors on your target bars.
In the MODIFY BAR DEFINITION pop-up, click on the bar color and select the color you like.

on my knowledge you cant change the red color of the Target bars. you can add patterns to them.
