I Doubt. U can do update P3 and then it will get automatically changed in excel file. For tat u can use pervasive ODBC Drivers.
But, u need to do double handling, if u want data to be updated from execel to P3. Pauls article will explain u in detail about the linking of database between Excel and P3, but requires double handling.
Thanks, but this is still double handling. As you said this is to easy. I am talking about having the excel spread sheet somewhere in the network. As soon as lets say in my case offshore construction super updates the percentage in excel, it automatically mirrors in primavera percentage column.

There is an article on my web site under technical articles that may help you and the drivers may be downloaded from my software section.

Use Import / Export.
Go to tools --> Project Utilities --> Export.
Its very easy and self-explanatory
The only thing to look out is that excel extension will be Wk1 here and not xls.
Also, import / export will work only for MS Excel 2003 and not 2007.
Export will take necessary activties to excel, while import will bring it back those activities from excel to P3 after updating.
