Easiest way is set an activity calender to the activity
Your duration (OD) will be 35 hours and your Budgetted Quantity would be 35H (assuming you are scheduling in hours) If you set a calender that allows only 20 hours a day working, then the EF date will be stretched to 1.75 days
hope this helps.
You can also set resource calenders but the above is simple and somewhat self adjusting

Im facing this peculiar problem. I have a cutting machine which can cut only for 20 hrs a day. For a particular cutting activity the machine needs to run for 35 hours.
Duration and budgeted Quantity are quite a bit different. Duration is the time that it takes to complete an activity, while budgeted quantity is the duration * units/time (how many guys you have working on that activity).
So, if you input 1 hour origonal duration and 1 unit/time you will get 1 hour budgeted units.
If you input 1 hour duration and 2 units/time you will get 2hrs budgeted units. it is saying that it will only take an hour to complete the task, but since there are two guys working on that taks, you will need to budget for 2 hours of work. 1 hour for each guy.
if you would want 2 cleaners for 1hr budgeted unit, your duration would need to be 0.5 hours
