Thnx Deepak...I agree with you on requirement of 9 Men days but in the current situation , its the same resource & thus 3 men can work every day for 3 days to equate to 9 Men Days in total. So, I need 3 men to complete the activity NOT 9 as defined by P3
Thnx Raviraj...but i dont think that its an issue related to Report Writing/ID etc. The problem I could imagine is because in P3 , Budgeted Quantity (BQ) = (Units/Day x Activity Duration) . This linear equation doesnt incorporate any variable for Concurrent/Repetitive units
If the trades are different, then use different resources.
If they are doing same work, use a same resource (Welder etc)
You require 9 mandays to do the work, with 3 no of resources, you will take 3 days.
Unless you have a different plan for these people thruout the rest of the project, you can always combine the resources. & also think about the type of reports u want to generate & then decide.
Cheers

VERY Interesting....
Shud not happen actually.
As Datta has said, u must hav used single resource.
Better way wud b, go to TOOLS --> GRAPHIC REPORTS --> RESOURCE AND COST
Add one more ID into it
and then produce the Histogram / Curve required.
Remember to change items in following tabs at least:
Resource Selection
Content
Date
Selection
If there is still problem, plz revert back.
