Couldn’t agree more Anoon, The experience gained over a number of years is the only way to become an effective planner.

You may know how to run the planning software in a controlled environment but when the wheels fall off the project and you have to create some magic to get it back on track, that is when the skills you learn at the school of hard knocks come in.

I wouldn’t ever say anyone can know everything about planning and scheduling, but I can most certainly say that this site and the information contained in the heads of the planners that contribute is of immeasurable value for the experienced & novice planner.

I started with Paul’s book to be honest, it can help you navigate the program quickly, but learning to become a good Planner I guess has no quick way! Experience is still the best teacher.

Couldn’t agree more.

We have uised Paul’s books as a self paced method of training ourselves and our new planners.

The books are very well written and also can be used as a reference book, as they have a good reference index at the back.

Well worth getting the book.

Yes I second that. My company engaged Paul’s services to train us in using P3, most of us were novices to begin with and Paul brought us up to speed very quickly. Highly recommend him.

I suggest that you buy book of Paul E. Harris at www.eh.com.au, then study at home.

Step-by-step explanations and includes workshops.

Cheers,
