there is a way. Using the wizard youll create a report from the group "Resource and Role Assignments". Youll include a column with that code value - give enough space for the decription.
Now youll have to change to the Editor - icon at the right border of your screen.
Youll click onto this field, NOT onto the headline!
Choose "Properties".
Change the 2nd line ("cell object") to "activity name/"
Change the 3rd line to "description"
This should work
Good luck

The only way that I can think of is using ODBC link to database or use SQL to access PMDB database and link the table of ActvType to Task Table and RSRC Table to produce that report. These require a deep knowledge on Database/ ODBC link or SQL.
Otherwise the best way is to export it in Excel and modify to suit your needs. You can do copy and paste function to speed up your work.
I hope this help.

I have tried the methods you have suggested but in each case I am only able to see the Activity Code values and I require to see the associated Activity Code descriptions on this report. The code values are meaningless to the users of this report.
Any other suggestions.

Sorry,
there was a mistake - some words skipped:

Thanks again Rodel
I dont want to group in this way. I really neeed the activity code description in the detail section of the output.
Surely this is one of the reasons that we put code descriptions into the database, so that reports will make more sense.

Try to group/ organised by activity code.
Same thing right click and click column and select all the fields you want to show and click Ok.
Right Click again and click Group & Sort-> customise
Select the activity code and tick Show title, tick show code and un-tick show description and click Ok.
I hope this will help.

Yes it is possible. Click resource assignment icon directory toolbar (left side of your screen)
Click Layout on the top or right click on your screen.
Select Column-> Customise
Select Activity codes or any required field available to display.
Select File-> Preview once it’s done.
You can also do this on the Report by creating a new report and follow the report wizard.

Rodel
