On the following website you can find a pdf writer for free, it is working ok. you can experiment with it. pdf is just a printer to a file so all programmes with a print option can create pdf files.
Youll need the write version of Acrobat (5.0 ?) (as opposed to the freebie read version). This acts as a printer driver and allows you to save any output as a *.pdf just as though you had printed hard copy.
