POWER PROJECT PLANNING EXPERIENCE WORLD-WIDE
July 2001 to Dec 2002. Elcho Combined Heat & Power Project, Chorzów, Poland. Retained by the Owner’s Engineer to provide advice on, and approval of, the Turnkey Contractor’s project programmes.
February 1999 to Jan 2000 Scottish & Southern Energy plc. Lerwick Power Station, Shetland. Provided programme management support in the development and monitoring of the Primavera maintenance and upgrade programmes for the Diesel/Gas station.
Feb 1998 to June 1999 Vasilikos 2x120MW Oil-fired Power Station, Cyprus. Developed the initial Project Master Schedule on Primavera. Site visits for construction delay analyses and production of recovery programmes.
Feb 1998 to Oct 1999 450MW Combined Cycle Power Plant, Dubai Aluminium. Developed the multi-contract project master schedule on Primavera software. Site visits to review and support the on-site planning function.
1994 Power Station Replanting Study. Fast-track project to specify the re-planting of 2x1000MW coal-fired turbines with gas-fired combined-cycle units at an existing UK power station. Produced a project-specific application on Artemis 7000 for the production of a detailed critical path network, manhour and cost control.
1993 West Java Transmission Project, Jakarta. Developed a Master Schedule in Jakarta for design, manufacture and installation of 34, 150\70\20kV substations and 10 overhead lines. Trained client staff in the use of the Microsoft Project software.
1992-93 ADGAS Power Systems Integration Project, Das Island. Project to combine the control and electrical distribution of two existing gas-fired power stations. Produced 1,000 activity Master Schedule CPN on Artemis 2000 with applications for physical progress measurement of the drawing office and procurement functions.
1999-91 Slough Estates Ltd. 30MW Steam Turbine & Fluidised Bed Boiler Plant. Responsible for the Artemis Critical Path networking of this multi-disciplined project, from detailed design to commissioning.
1990-91 Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand, Combined Cycle Power Project. Responsible for the team preparing the project Artemis Master Schedule, and detailed control of engineering design programme and resources.
1989-90 Dubal Aluminium Smelter Extension, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Produced the project Master Schedule to co-ordinate the client, engineer and main contractor’s programmes for an extension to this Aluminium Smelting plant, and additional 84MW gas turbine generating set. Visited the turbine manufacturer’s works in Germany to produce the turbine manufacture and installation critical path analysis.
