Civil Engineer / Senior Advisor



Duties

•     Management

•     Develop and manage DM Program staff members including appropriate training, job development including the provision of enrichment and personal growth opportunities.

•     Ensure that the project staffs conduct all projects as set out in the Schedule of the Deeds and/or project objectives.

•     Assist in recruitment of staff for the department.

•     Coordinate and promote opportunities in all department programs.

•     Manage and supervise project staff and consultants and including, creating accurate job descriptions, performance plans and measurements, conducting regular staff evaluation and performance reports.

•     Support clear and appropriate communication channels with all other departments.

•     Planning

•     Initiate proposal, program development, and long term DM plan independently or with the assistance of Development Director, DM Advisor, Executive Director and Key External Advisors.

•     Coordinate research undertaken by consultant, advisor or member of DM team as required in the DM department.

•     Coordinate timely preparation and processing of needs for staff, and consultants for purchasing and funds processing.

•     Financial & Reporting

•     Estimate and prepare budgets and manage all income and expenditure to remain within budget, using the chart of accounts and financial management systems.

•     Provide regular reports including written material to the Director, Governing and Executive Committee members of the organization.

•     Ensure that reports are prepared and on activities as required by the funding bodies within the specified time frame and as specified in the Deed and variations to that Deed.

•     Work with the Programs Coordinator, Development Director, DM Advisor and Other Senior Management to secure ongoing funding for the Disaster Management Program and subsidiary projects.

•     Communications

•     Coordinate audio conferences, physical visitations with community members and staff as necessary to ensure program direction and participation is in accordance with strategic planning.

•     Ensure that activity reports are prepared and submitted

•     Liaise with key project stakeholders including donors, partners, government bodies, communities, and media as defined within the Deeds of the projects, and / or as specified by the Development Coordinator, Programs Coordinator and Executive Director.

•     

•     Liaise closely with other project coordinators within the organization and participate as a senior team member in general matters relating to the organization.

•     Represent NDTF at meetings and workshop related to CBDM program as required

•     Manage communications flow; coordinate responses to inquiries about programs.

•     Reconstruction of northern cities after Flood

•     Developing the National Disaster Management Organization of Iran

•     United Nation Development Program projects in Iran

•     Many other National development projects related to the Development Deputy of the Ministry of Interior in Iran
