Client No.2 : MUSHRIF / DYWIDAG – FLUOR (OL2K)



Nature of Contract: OL2K – Sea Water Cooling Tower Project – Mechanical, Piping, Electrical and Instrumentation works.



Installation of Sea Water Cooling Tower Pumps (9 Nos.) with Accessories, Installation of Cooling Files Assembly inside the Tower. Piping Fabrication & Erection works, Installation of Pipe fittings & Valves, Gantry Crane Temporary Distribution Panel works; Installation & Commissioning of Field Instruments, Control Valves, Motor Operated Valves, Local Control Panels, UPS & PowerDistribution Boards. Erection of DCS and ESD Panels; Installation of Junction Boxes. Instrument Tubing & Instrument Air Manifold Installation; Installation of Cable Trays & Supports. Cable Pulling & Termination works inside JB’s, Control Panels and Field Instruments. Meggering & Loop Checking of Cables. Instrument Tubing and Instrument Continuity Testing works.





Job Responsibility:



To monitor and update all contract programmes by regular discussions with site engineers/supervisors.



Carry out on site monitoring of reported progress in order to report status accurately to

the Site Manager, Regional Office and Head Office Management when necessary.



To interpret the agreed contract programme and ensure compliance with the projected forecasts

and general milestones.



Responsible for the day to day planning activities associated with the project.



To liaise with on-site engineers to ascertain weekly progress, labour levels for insertion into

the integrated schedule.



To produce two week, 1 month and 3 month look-ahead schedules to ensure that the contract programme

is adhered to in addition to highlighting any discrepancies.



To produce weekly and monthly planning information in accordance with the condition of contract for

submission to the Alliance. To liaise with the Alliance Planning Department in order to coordinate

project planning activities.



To monitor the progress of the project to produce realistic work forecasts in line with the

contract programme.



To provide Level IV & Level VI Programmes developed from Level III for Alliance approval.



Associated ’S’ Curves will also be developed to monitor progress with actual hours achieved

being recorded against the planned target hours.



Installed quantities will also be recorded as a guide to progress.
