Apr 1984 - Jul 1985     M42 Birmingham to Nottingham Motorway, Water Orton Contract ( bridges contract )

The bridge section of the contract consisted of 14 No bridges of various designs at an estimated value of £11 million.



Aug 1985 - Nov 1985     Shell UK, Stanlow, Ellesmere Port - Lubrication Plant

This contract consisted of forming foundations for the new high bay warehouse and loading areas along with floor slabs.

Fairclough were responsible for the construction of a new anti-blast control building for the new Cat-Cracker Plant. The contract was programmed for 52 weeks and it was essential that is was maintained to allow the commissioning of the process plant and therefore avoiding heavy penalty clauses.
