Ahmed,

You can enter the ACTUAL WORK (hours) by changing the VIEW to TASK USAGE. On the right-hand side of the screen, you will see the cells that enable you to input the actual hours completed, on whatever days you choose. This will then automatically calculate the % Work Complete (hours). If you then change the remaining task duration, this will automatically change the % Complete (duration). However, you must be careful, because when you change the remaining duration, you are also likely to automatically change the Remaining Work (hours) - thus altering the % Work Complete.

There is no One-Button solution. If it is a Fixed Unit task, then changing the duration will automatically change the hours. If you don’t want this to happen, then you must change the task-type to that of Fixed Work.

Ahmed,

% complete is duration and % work complete is resources or hrs. There are many ways of entering progress. You can double click the activity and enter percent complete from general tab of task information dialog box or by inserting column to show % work complete and % complete. Another way is to display the custom form icon from toolbars. View-> Toolbars-> Custom Form. Then select the form Work tracking.
