·       Lead a team of 5 planners, inclusive of subcontractors, and 3 cost engineers.

·       Maintained Integrated Master Project Schedule for the Exxon Kizomba C Project – Topsides and Subsea Systems.  Collaborated with subcontractors for schedule updates and status.

·       Established Work Breakdown Structure and Cost Breakdown Structure for both Scheduling and Cost Reporting.

Building of 2x132 KV DC Arc Furnace, a Metal Treatment Plant, Slag & Reductant Plants, Water Treatment Plant, Sub Stations & Switch Yards for a Heavy Minerals Smelter.

Overall responsible for all planning functions from progress updates to month end reporting to client boardroom presentations of progress, delays, options, risk etc.

Went to site to take over planning functions in project that was progressing slow, to introduce better controls to improve workflow and efficiency. Generate programs to monitor & control various aspects of project, both additional and revised works. Successfully generated work plans to control completion and handover of 10 Structural buildings, more than 2000 various mechanical items, 162 various piping systems, plus handover of works completed by sub-contractors to client.

After contract award, generated level 3 programs, which became contractual program. Setup level 4 detailed fabrication programs, which were part of fabricators contract. Setup transport & delivery schedules. Setup schedules for detailing of structural buildings & gantries. Setup various documents for proper control like, item registers, motor lists, equipment lists, and vendor lists. Implementing of responsibility schedules and program rolling horizons. Got project running and handover to site manager.

Started with development of coding structure for consortium and level 3 programs for “Saldanha Mechanical Contractors”, written in Primavera ver 2.b. This contractual program had to be integrated with other contractors on site due to the fast track nature of the project and had to be totally network compatible so that all contractors on site could update one integrated schedule. This schedule became contractual level 3 programs for the consortium.

Group projects planner. Co-ordination, checking & detailing of all programs for various project sites, that include a hands on approach. Liase with client, suppliers & fabricators. Going to various sites and fulfilling planning functions, to reschedule and re evaluate environment with changes in scope and contract.

1996 Namdeb Floating Treatment Plant. Level 4 programs for fabrication of barge, structural steelwork, platework and piping.

1996 Goldfields Refrigeration Pipeline. Installation of pipeline for Mine chilled water system.
