Lead Planner at a very large Insurance company. we have manage around 800 projects each year and use Primavera as our scheduling too. I manage a team of planners that work with the Data Strategies for this company. we currently have over 70 projects within my span of control. I review schedules prior to baselining for quality, I meet monthly with the Planner, Project manager and Lead business Analysis to go over the health of the project. We disucss budget, timing and scope.

I've been a Planner/Scheduler since 1976. Began with steel industry work, blast furnaces, coke oven batteries, basic oxygen furnaces. I've also worked on Light Rail projects, highway and transit. Now with Alcoa where I review schedules and help plan smelters, rolling mills and reheat furnaces.

I have 40 years previous experience beginning with the United Brotherhood of Carpenters Apprenticship and continuing as a carpenter for 17 years. Then another 23 years as a Project Manager and Project Superintendent before starting my own consulting firm for scheduling and other construction management services.
