I have experience of the full Project Controls service. Providing a planning role on a Substation replacement project, progressing own schedule and monitoring a contractors schedule.

Aslo have responsibilitiy for maintaing costs within budgeted limits. On a mnothly basis produce reports detailing Year to date BCWP / EAC and forecast BCWP / EAC for the financial year and the lifetime of the project.

Managing QS all functions (progress valuations, final accounts, claims, management accounts, etc)

Preparation and negotiation of Claims (Time and Cost); Preparation of Variation Memoranda; Subcontract procurement and claims settlement (time and cost); Estimating; Prepare and review Cost/Value KPI's and EVA reports with Regional Commercial Manager for submission to Regional Director.

Managing development and refurbishment projects within the aerospace and industrial sector, preparing budgets, monitoring actual spend and reporting progress. Chairing project meetings and providing technical assistance to the design team.

Branch Manager of a busy retail outlet duties included recruitment, training and disciplinary procedures, ordering, stock control, book keeping, banking and control of profit and loss accounts, holding wine tasting sessions and giving talks on history, origin and qualities of the products. 

Project Controller managing installations of automated doors and associated small works. Responsibilities included modifying the standard range of products to tailor them to customer requirements, placing orders, tracking, progressing delivery, obtaining and reporting daily site progress. 

Starting my career as an  apprentice carpenter in 1976 I continued along the route of leading hand, foreman, general foremen, with Bovis Construction then assistant site manager and site manager for Fairview Estates, and for Taylor Woodrow and then Taylor Wimpey contracts manager to production manager.

In 2008 I commenced employment with John Laing Partnership as a Planner, they under took all my training needs though Asta.
