PIPEMILL PRODUCTION / PLANNING ENGINEER

Responsible to Lead Pipemill Engineer, as part of a Production Team, for 2 Pipemills and Pilerack Fabrication Facilities, and to provide all relevant information from client drawings and specifications necessary to carry out Tubular Assembly for use in the fabrication of offshore oil and gas structures.  Many of these activities are subject to the pressure of providing the most economic method and sequencing of events, which were normally subject to tight time schedules.

Working as a wireman, wiring and assembly of prototype and production equipment for the GPO and the MOD 

Duties included the development of detailed planning packages in order to meet, both in-house partner and client specific requirements, liaison with TAP Partner and Client planning personnel, monitoring and reporting progress against the accepted planning package at agreed intervals, and revising the detailed planning package as directed by the TAP Project Manager.

Contract Wireman duties were wiring, assembly and testing of prototype military hardware. 

Reported to Project Manager and had direct responsibility for the preparation, updating and monitoring of all planning and scheduling reports.  Duties included generating project procedures, designing and implementing the planning monitoring and control system, producing summary and detailed schedules for all aspects of the work scope, monitoring and controlling subcontracted work scope, reporting and liaison with client personnel, assisting in general project engineering duties as required.

Working as a Prototype Wireman (sub contract) doing metalwork fabrication, building and testing prototypes of communication stations.  

Working on the Elf Elgin-Franklin PUQ Platform during the onshore construction phase at the BARMAC Nigg facility.  Reporting to ITS Project Manager and responsible for the scheduling of manpower and testing work scope in accordance with the construction and commissioning programmes.

Working as a Model Shop Technician proofing the design, wiring, assembly and testing of prototype military hardware.

Primarily responsible for the provision and control of the Planning function across all of Petrofac Offshore Projects division contracts and projects.  Responsibilities include the supervision, co-ordination, distribution and allocation of workload across the planning team. 

Involved with diverse mix of Planning systems and process improvement initiatives from concept, specification through to implementation of various Planning related systems such as Primavera, Mpower, MS Project, Pertmaster and Controller including applications and interfaces for with othe
