I am 23 years old looking to progress my career, I am currently employed working for a large construction company as a trainee site manager. During my time at the company I was lucky enough to spend time within the planning department and this is where I want to progress my career.

The analysis of delays to construction and engineering projects, using network based analysis techniques most appropriate to the conditions of contract and information and records in hand;
Preparation and defence of extension of time claims, using both retrospective and prospective delay analysis techniques;
Preparation of expert reports and the presentation of oral evidence for tribunals;
Programme expert appointed on a ground improvement scheme in Sheppey, including the provision of new roads. Undertook the analysis and quantification of the delays on behalf of the contractor, and prepared a written report.
Analysis of planned and as-built programmes and delay events on a project extending Docklands Light Railway to accommodate three-car trains;
Programme expert appointed on behalf of the Employer in connection with a dispute regarding the construction and refurbishment of an existing school in Sheffield. Provided expert report for adjudication proceedings.
Programme expert appointed on behalf of the Employer in connection with a dispute regarding the construction of residential apartments in Leeds. Provided expert report in readiness for adjudication proceedings.
I have 20 years of project based experience in the building and civil engineering sectors. In this time I have planned projects from tender, through design, procurement, construction and commissioning.
Most building projects were complex and highly serviced, such as data centres and new build airport terminals, whereas my civil projects were often time critical possessions, such as motorway reconstruction and rail track civils.
I have managed planning teams and as a project manager, managed every aspect of a particular project.
I managed the planning team engaged in design / manage / construct projects.
This included the preparation of a fully networked programme covering design, procurement, construction and commissioning.
Responsible for developing and leading Project Monitoring service, specific Timeline services to the Insurance sector, as well as promoting business services through Client meetings and seminars.
Other main tasks include evaluation and assessments of Contractor delay claims, preparation of Contractor claims for Extensions of Time and preparation of disruption supporting documentation (Costs) on various construction projects.
