Was asked to become Head of Planning 2 months after joining.

Recruited to lead on a major water pipeline project. Had 3 supporting planners, but unfortunately the "Production Managers" thought they were in control of the project and how it should be planned. Highlighted various issues on the project as there was a belief because it was linear that it could be handled like a production line, but there was no consideration for the 400km's of GI, SI, 1400 crossings, ecology, archaeology, land owners, restricted access, construction limited times due to transport and areas such as schools, significant logistics, etc.

I worked as an Assistant Planner on site for the construction of 6 story Stem Cell Research Lboratory including a basement. Also I have worked as an Assistant planner  for Pre construction tendering.

My role as at preconstruction tendering;

• Prepare ternder contract programs for new tenders
• Prepare phase plans for work
• Produce progress reports for on going works
• Weekly & monthly project meeting participation
• Assist with new tenders

My role & duties onsite were;

• I was responsible as part of a team for the repairs, refitting and maintenance of the railroad between Bishop Stortford and Liverpool Street.

Site Agent

Identify and obtain relevant information to plan the works in accordance with design, drawings, specifications and Employer’s Requirements.

Liaise with statutory authorities and coordinate diversions

Manage the procurement of materials and subcontractors

Determine the methods of working and manage the production of Method Statements, Risk Assessments, Operations Plans and Inspection & Test Plans.

Schedule the works and ensure the compilation of short term and long term resourced programmes and monitor progress

Jonathan had responsibility for the design management of roofing, cladding, secondary steel and architectural glazing packages, multi-disciplinary interface management and the implementation of project governance processes, overall project planning and progress reporting (using Asta Power Project), general project administration and the preparation
