Managing the financial and human resources for work in the East & West of Scotland. Information interpretation, liaising with other organisations such as public utilities or private.

Working on site setting out using EDM, levels, and lasers. Keeping records on site of stock inventory, meeting the design team and other site specific roles.

Working closely with the design team, to organize a programme that has the financial, site and other job specific problems that tender planning and site planning have. The contract value of the jobs varies between half a million and three million pounds sterling.



I used power project software to produce the programmes and also have prepare a spreadsheet and S-Curve to present Management with a progress report of weekly work achieved.

I worked on the Scottish Water Framework (Q&MS 2). I prepared the three week Programmes, which generated the progress reports for the individual sites. I produce a weekly and monthly report this was presented to the board of directors. I was also involved in the preparation of contract programmes.

I was assigned to the South Lanarkshire School project which was the design and building of ten primary schools under a PPP Scheme.



I was involved in the creation of the Design and Procurement, Construction programme for each school. The Standard school value was approximately ten million pounds. Because of the nature of the framework there was a limited exposure to Claim programming. With all the other responsibilities such as progress reports, work package programmes and bespoke work package programming.

I was the company planning engineer, which entailed working for both the construction and estimating departments on current projects and tenders. The company was a small contracting firm which specialised on traditional single stage tendering . For a normal tender I would produce a tender programme, Phasing Sketches and a cash flow for the submisson, and also a small risk matrix for the rest of the team to respond to and also populate.

     

Within the Scottish Region, I the responsibilities I had were split into two portions, Tender planning and Project planning.
