Simon has over 20 years experience in Telecommunications, Power, Oil & Gas, Nuclear Decommissioning, Design Management and large scale construction projects.  This includes over 10 years planning experience, IT integration (database testing and commissioning), project management, risk analysis and reporting and document management.  He has worked predominantly in the UK and in the Middle East for the last year and has managed teams on complex projects.

KEY ACHIEVEMENTS



2004 - Managed the transition of 127 station projects from P3 to P3e in line with LUL requirements meeting the required timeframe.



2005 - Managed the introduction of earned value and global coding to all station projects in line with LUL requirements.



2006/7 - Lead the planning of £60m St Pancras Thameslink station delivered on time and within budget.



2007/10 - Lead the planning of 4 Procure 21 projects (£40m) all delivered on time and within budget     

My background is in Engineering and Project Management and hold a B.Eng and Master’s degree. I hold the APMG Foundation Qualification in Project Planning and Control and Prince2 Foundation Qualification. Member ICE, PMI and Affiliate of Guilds of Project Control.

A proactive and adaptable Planning Engineer with experience of working on a portfolio of multi­disciplinary major infrastructure and electricity transmission projects with a total sanction value of over £250M. Over 6 years creating and maintaining project programmes in Primavera P6 and reporting to stakeholders on progress. Programme assurance of contractor’s plan for compliance with Transmission Procedures, outage requirements, scheduling principals and EV reporting and communicating the issues to project engineers and contractors and resolving them before baseline acceptance.
