In 1988 I decided to pursue a career in project management, after 14 years in IT.

As an IBM employee, until 2014 I lead large projects in various industries, build and led PMOs and run significant programs. I have seen systems integration, application development, SAP rollouts and outsourcing. Since 2002, I worked with global teams in Japan, India, US and most European countries incl. Russia.

As a PMI volunteer, I build the PMI Frankfurt Chapter from 1998 to 2005, served on the PMI Board of Directors and am a member of the Ethics Review Committee since 2011.

Joined the offshore oil & gas industry in 2008 involved in cost control and gradually moved into estimating and planning. With the downturn in oil & gas, got involved in offshore renewable engergy, i.e. offshore wind. Setup a department of cost controllers later to be supplemented with planners. After some time playing around with MS Project started to grow the planning discipline - i.e. hire more planners and introduced Primavera P6 EPPM in 2014.
