Develop and maintain detailed resource loaded schedules and provide weekly schedule updates. Integrate multiple schedules into a master project schedule, baseline, status and perform measurement baselines. Develop and maintain summary level schedule reports, Gantt, Milestones, Charts, Histograms and S-Curves and other tools used to support critical path analysis, near task work, priority-based resource allocations, performance variances and to support cost/schedule integration. I have been involved in the construction industry for more than 26 years, of which 19 has been in planning / project controls. I worked my way up from a semi-skilled to my current position as Planning Manager. I spent 7 years in the field doing mechanical fitting, pipefitting and boilermaking. In the construction industry, you quickly learn how to do all disciplines, in order to ensure continuous work, both working on my own and also leading teams.
Currently, I am working for Redis Construction Afrika. We currently have three projects in DRC, one project in Ghana, one in Nigeria and one project in Botswana. The Tenke Fungurume Phase 2 and Balance of Plant; as well as Kwale Minerals Sand Project were completed in 2013/14. I travel to all our sites on a monthly basis, to do random audits on all the project control systems, in order to ensure accurate invoices, progress reporting and schedules. I also assist with all tender efforts.
Auditing the contractors schedule according to construction overall schedule.
Compiling sub-contractors data and prepare Daily, Weekly and Monthly reports.
Taking the physical progress and compare with the sub-contractors reports and Updating progress in P6 (Level IV).
Preparing weekly key performance index report (KPI).
Preparing and auditing Quantity Man-hours Report (QMR).
