Santos GLNG (a joint venture of Santos, Petronas, Total, & Kogas) hired Bechtel to design & build a liquefied natural gas complex on Curtis Island, off the shore of Queensland, just north of the city of Gladstone. GLNG is one of the three huge plants to produce LNG for use by Australians & for customers in China, Korea, Japan, & Malaysia.
