Project Undertaken: Construction of North West Leg Project

Project Description: An all-new 13 Km. Multilane Dual Carriageway with Service Roads complete with Drainage System, Lighting, Traffic Signage, Vital Appurtenances, etc. The Project also includes seven Diamond Interchanges (pre-stress voided slabs) at major road crossings, and Three Long Wadi Bridges with more than 700 – 40 m. Pre-stress Beams (Wadi Hanifah, Wadi Mahadiyah, and Wadi Ubayer) having a combined length of 2 Km.

Project controls - area wide manging 2 - 3 jobs

Worked as estimator for a civil contractors - Porject ranging from 1m - 4m

Working as Project Managment Consultant to the major Road project in the Sultanate of Oman.

Project: New Batinah Expressway

Construction of main carriageway, Interchanges, Wadi Bridges, Underpass Bridges, and Culverts.

Planning and Execution of infrastructure projects mainly Roads and Highway using project management tools Primavera 6.0 and MS Project.

Responsibilities handled:

• Involved in the execution of the various construction elements of bridges (piles, pile caps, piers, pier caps etc...)
• Involved in the execution of approach road works to the bridges.
• Coordination with Clients, Consultants & Sub-Contractors.
• Preparation of Daily Activity Reports.
• Preparation of actual progress of activities to given work schedule.
• Preparation of monthly reconciliation statements of cement and steel.

Prepare project programme schedule for bidding purposes and for schedule and update.

Responsibilities as Construction Supervisor:

·         Supervision of technical terms & checking of site works according to specifications & drawings.

·         Quality control of concrete casting, Formwork, Erection of Steel structure. Verification of concrete mix based on application.

Quantity Surveying & Cost management:
•Cost Estimation & Cost control, Contract Management, Procurement Coordination;
•Prepare BOQ recapitulation;
•Prepare Monthly Financial Affairs Report;
•Prepare and Maintain Interim and Final Quantity Books;
•Check the Contractor’s interim and final pay certificates;
•Evaluate unit rates for new items of works;
•Check joint measurements for interim payments;
•Compute final pay quantities;
•Maintain current as-built drawings as the work progresses;
•Maintain progress schedule and cash flow chart;
•Assist in preparation of Variation Orders.


