Senior Planner

Responsible for developing and maintaining the plan in Primavera P6 in producing and managing a robust design process. Including the definition of requirements, scope, assumptions, development phasing, work and asset breakdown and verification and validation regime that result in a safe and affordable design for the High Speed 2 (HS2) and  London-West Midlands (LWM) project.  As well as managing internal design interfaces between discipline leads & PSC’s Project Coordinators.

Charles developed the integrated cost and schedule for the capital improvement programme to support the introduction of 5-car trains on London Overground include; improvements to facilities at New Cross Gate Depot, Extension of Platforms on the ELL and delivery of Silwood Sidings.. Established processes to ensure the integrity and the maintenance of the project information and reports.

Employed to develop & monitor the resource loaded schedule for the 7 phases of the project, total value £75M. I undertook the role in parallel with the AXIOM role. Prior to this I led the bid (cost & schedule) for the ITER Detritiation project (€6.5M).

Preparation of resource and cost loade

·         Worked with a team of planners on RGP5 Project and was also the designated shutdown planner for managing pre-shut works and shutdown works on 12 shuts. These shutdowns were implemented successfully according to the client.

·         Was involved on Lynas Rare Earths Construction Project for some months.

·         Also supported the bid team for tendering with developing schedules and assisting with manpower estimating.

·         Partnered successfully with PB and Iluka teams to produce definition feasibility schedule.

·         Monitored and assessed project activity data for accuracy and efficiency. Maintained and updated proper cash flow data. Develop procurement schedules for long lead items.

Experience with Forensic claims analysis.

Responsible for the detailed scheduling of activities for the Tangara Technology Upgrade for Sydney Trains.
