Graduate Engineer at OPWP. I entered Graduate Developement Programme(GDP) since Nov 2016 which is designed to build the knowledge of the graduates and make them familiar with the work invironment and the whole Power and Water sector in Oman. after 8 month of rotation in the different deperatements in the company I was assigned to be part of the Project Developement deparetment (PD).
Graduate Engineer in the Spot Market Department at OPWP. Currently I am assisting in establishing the Spot Market in Oman under which generators can submit bids on a daily basis for their electricity generation.
Through my start in OPWP was given a rotation training through all the department including two months of plants visit. This rotation gave me a good understanding of the utility sector in total (power and water), enhanced my technical information regarding power and water generation in details, forecasting and planning for the next upcoming years, contract management of the existing plant and invoicing, supervision the progress of the new upcoming plants and finally developing the required capacity to meet the peak demand.
Graduate engineer responsible for sections of road (dual carriageway) construction, drainage installation, structures (bridges), surfacing, finishes & reinstatement. Experience of temporary works, traffic management, planning and short-term programming sections of work including that for subcontractors, cost control, record-keeping and communication with commercial staff. Use of Contract and Specifications, BoQ, Drawings, technical literature. Regular communication with Client Representatives.
i am a graduate engineer (BSc (Hons) Construction Management) and have worked for Interserve Construction for over 7 years.
i have been working in the planning department of Interserve Construction for the past 6 months to gain experience in project planning. i have produced programmes for tenders for schools, hospitals and commercial buildings up to the value of £7 million.
