Laing O'Rourke Assistant planner - Beswick Community College from May 2013 to the foreseeable future

As a Daily Planner/Scheduler I assisted the Lead Planner and policed the implementation of a new

planning system at the Sullom Voe Oil Terminal.

As a member of the Cost and planning team I was involved with the following activities:      

• Supporting the planning Lead in implementing the new process
• Maintaining and producing site plans using project control software for onsite works
• Involved with the detailed planning of the 12, 6 and 2 week schedules

Assisant Planner - Assisting the Principal Planner on a Renovation of an old texile factory into apartments

Assisted the Planning Manager. Responsible for progressing the construction schedule.

I also worked on the forensic claims package for the project producing As Built and Impacted Baseline Schedules.

Project:    T2B (London Heathrow Terminal 2)

My position has covered a wide range of areas from producing a Detailed Programme covering Design, Procurement, Manufacture and Assembly for all works disciplines.  Also update the programme, attend all the technical, co-ordination and progress update meetings.

I developed programme in close contact with the engineers and project managers. In addition I work with the projects controls team and extract cost information from the programme for EV and other analysis.

Currently working within the North East bid team developing tender / contract programmes, design and procurement schedules / programmes, site methodology plans, scaffold schedules and initial phasing plans to be included with our tender submissions on a varity of schemes from new build social housing, extra care facilities and high rise refurbishment works.

Laing Construction London and South-East (Assistant Planner)

• Report preparation on sub-contractor extension of time claims against Laing Construction.
• Working with Planning and Quantity Surveying teams.
• Liaising with sub-contractors to reconcile extension of time disputes.

Project

Working as Regional Project Planner For a Facilities Management Company  , Dealing with Pharmaceutical drug production plant upgrades and planned maintenance.

Currently working as a Planner for Morgan Sindall Major Projects Pre Construction Team in the Eastern Region .

Providing Tender Planning and Construction Phase Support to sites.
