Highly experienced operator-side oil/gas cost control and cost engineering specialist. Experienced in exploration, appraisal and development projects; particular experience in all cost aspects of drilling projects, including start-up and close-out.
Have worked on onshore and offshore projects of all types and sizes in Europe, Africa, Middle East & Asia.
Drilling Cost Control, Project Accounting and Cost Control positions on onshore and offshore projects in UK, Europe & Africa.
Initially responsible for drilling cost control and accounting on the unsuccessful Boukhechba exploration campaign. Set up cost systems to calculate daily well costs and attended daily rig calls to ensure accurate and complete cost tracking and reporting. Provided regular updates of drilling cost performance versus budgets, forecasts and AFEs.
Successfully completed a backlog of well reconciliations and complex inventory reconciliations left over from the drilling and construction phases of the MLN appraisal and development project. Reconciliations were finalised with immaterial-value write-offs. Performed a gap analysis to identify drilling cost control process weaknesses then worked with staff in implementing the updated processes.
