Current Role
In June 1978 gained promotion to Maintenance Planner with Sasol Fertilisers, where his main duty was to plan the maintenance in such a way that optimum plant availability could be achieved at a minimum cost with best use of the available resources as to increase the return of investment.
Joined Sasol Fertilizers in 1976 as a Maintenance Fitter and Turner and later the same year became Maintenance Mechanical Foreman.
Main duties were to supervise the maintenance of conveyors, buckets elevators, turbines, pumps boilers (gas, oil and coal fired), heat exchangers, misprecipetators, scrubbers, pressure vessels etc. Process Plants serviced were Nitric Acid, Sulphuric Acid, Mills and Ammonia. In January 1977 he was tansfered to the Planning Department as Junior Planner.
In March 1977, completed a diploma in Planned Maintenance and Project Planning.

Senior Planner on various Petrochem, Brewery & Process Plant Projects.
Current Role
Lead Planner for the PBMR Project.
Lead Planner for both the Murray & Roberts / SNC JV and the Client PBMR planning team. Responsible for setup, monitoring & reporting of the Demonstration Power Plant as well as training of planners.
