PLANNING MANAGER

Recruited specifically for a senior position on the new international airport at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Start delayed due to the political situation.

i.              Vendor Development, Vendor Management and Vendor management.

ii.             Estimation of the package based of fact based or Market analysis.

iii.            Review of sub-contract or contract documents before release of tender or requirement.

I has been in the construction industry since 1993 with extensive Airports, Oil & Gas, Building, Railways and Infrastructure / Underground construction experience. In his most recent position as Sr. Planner his key performance areas are:

·                Effective site safety compliance and quality assurance

Central Utility Complex (CUC2-2015) - Jebel Ali Airport (JXB)- Dubai

The Scope of work for the Central Utility Complex (CUC2) is to provide satisfaction completion of Engineering, Procurement, Construction / Installation testing and commissioning of Chiller Hall, Gas Turbine, Administration Building, MV Room, Steel Water Tanks, Domestic Fire Reserve and Cooling tower, External Works Area, Guard House and All MEP System (HVAC System, Chilled Water System), (Domestic plumbing System, Drainage System, F.F. Sprinkler System, F.F.

§  Responsible for ensuring that our company’s obligations are discharged, that our company’s rights are secured and that our company avoids liabilities.

§  Responsible for communicating with the Client on contractual matters, e.g. notifying of time and cost impact of delaying circumstances, preparation of extension of time and additional compensation claims, submission of contract deliverables, et al.

Period Summary:

Initially I was employed as Sub Agent/Planning Engineer for a Joint Venture Enabling Contract on the Chek Lap Kok Airport Programme of Projects. Subsequently I was transferred to the Southern Runway, Taxiway and Stands Project (Airfield Works) and received a promotion to Planning Manager. During this period I gained exposure to Project Controls and the importance of integrating Time and Cost.

Mace employed me to assist with the planning for the construction works for the Main Contractor, Logan Siemens Consortium, North Terminal.

• Develop the existing programme framework.
• Develop mini-programmes to assist the project team manage weekly works.
• Providing planning support for Project Lead Planner, and Mace Construction Managers.
• Updating the schedule and report internally on a monthly basis (client requirement).
• Monitor steelwork erection, secondary steelwork and fire protection activities.
